Dunblane Project

Mid-1960s bungalow gets a modern facelift.

Location
St. Catharines
Type of project
Main floor remodel
Date completed
October 2022
An open kitchen with a blue island under a cage pendant light, seen from the dining area
Typical of 1960s builds, this house was very compartmentalized. It had restricted space and lacked a cohesive flow. By removing two load bearing walls, we were able to transform this closed off home into a vibrant, open and functional space.

  • AfterKitchen

An island with a built in fridge and microwave makes it super easy to have a central place for social gathering.

  • BeforeDining Area

This room never gets used because it's closed off from the rest of the main floor.

  • AfterDining Area

What a difference removing a wall can make!

  • AfterKitchen

This hood range is both functional AND a stunning focal point.
